WEB 407 Week 1 Individual Assignment HTML5 with Video

 

Instructions: Complete the exercises in the Lynda.com® video, "Learning HTML5 Video" using the HTML5 document from Week One. Your HTML5 document should have an added video element after completing the exercises. Note:  Exercise files can be found within the Lynda.com® website.  Click on the button that is labeled "Exercise files" above the video you are viewing, then click the file name in the pop-up box to download the files to your computer. Save a copy of this document to bring and discuss in your learning team in Week Three. Submit your HTML5 document with an added video element to the Assignment Files tab.

Instructions: Complete a first draft of your Website Plan, that includes the following:   

  • Topic of website
  • Purpose of website
  • Intended audience/visitors of website
  • Content outline for homepage and at least two sub-pages

WEB 407 Week 2 Learning Team Assignment Web Application with HTML5, Part I

Instructions: Review the HTML5 documents from each learning team member's Week One individual assignment. Perform a group analysis of the files. Include testing on various browsers (e.g., Firefox, IE, and Chrome) in your analysis. Choose the one that is most semantic and valid. Make any improvements required to make it equally viewable in all browsers. Submit your HTML5 document to the Assignment Files tab.

Instructions: Using the HTML5 document from Week Two, add a JavaScript® or a JavaScript® Framework module to add interaction to your app's main document. Use the techniques described in this week's learnings. Save a copy of this document to bring and discuss in your learning team in Week Four. Submit your HTML5 with JavaScript® document to the Assignment Files tab.

Instructions: Review the HTML5 documents with local storage feature from each learning team member's Week Three individual assignment. Perform a group analysis of the files. Include testing on various browsers (e.g., Firefox, IE, and Chrome) in your analysis. Choose the one that is most semantic and valid. WEEK  5

WEB 407 Week 5 Learning Team Assignment Web Application with HTML5 Final Project

 

Instructions: Review ideas for your Week Five Presentation Application Final Project with your team. Gather feedback from your learning team that you may choose to use in your final project. Create a five minute HTML5 video using any video source file (e.g., webcam, mobile phone video, etc.) about the experience of building a web application based on your brainstorming session. Include the following topics:   

  • Most important learnings
  • Most challenging aspects
  • Troubleshooting tips to remember for the future Prepare the video in an HTML5 document using the techniques learned in Week Two. Submit your HTML5 video document to the Assignment Files tab

 

WEB 407 Week 5 Individual Assignment Presentation Application Final Project

 

Instructions: Using a company or organization of your choice, create a responsive and advanced presentation application using HTML5 and contemporary web programming practices as learned in this course. Ensure your application demonstrates your knowledge of the following elements:   

  • HTML5: Semantics and Syntax
  • HTML5: APIs
  • JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks
  • HTML5 Databases, AppCaching, and Local Storage
  • Advanced Multiplatform Web Applications Submit your presentation application to the Assignment Files tab.
