WriteLab is a tool that can help you identify errors and learn from your mistakes during the revision process.\n\nPrepare\n\nAs you prepare to write your first discussion for this week, take a few moments to do the following:\n\nWrite a three-paragraph summary of your favorite book, film, or television program. Summarize plot\npoints, describe unique features, and discuss its impact on society. This summary does not require\nintegration of outside source material.\nReview the WriteLab tutorial video.\nUse WriteLab to review and proofread your three-paragraph summary of a book, film, or television\nprogram.\nCarefully consider all issues and feedback noted by WriteLab and revise your paragraphs. \n• Review the grading rubric for this discussion.\nReflect\nConsider the revision, proofreading, and editing steps you have taken in the last week. Were they effective? How can you make the revision process – especially revision – a part of every assignment in college and the workplace?\nWrite (due Thursday, Day 3)\nPost your original paragraphs and your final, revised paragraphs in the discussion. Be sure to label them accordingly. Then, in 200 to 300 words, describe your WriteLab experience.
